“Peach” is a once in a lifetime horse. Peach is a 2017, 14.2, red roan, AQHA mare. This mare could do it all. Peach has the potential to be competitive in many different disciplines. She would excel in Western Dressage as she can slow down and jog and has a lovely lope. She has a gorgeous floaty trot that would excel in either traditional Dressage or as a Hunter. She has started lateral work with good leg yield and shoulder in and is developing haunches in.

She has schooled a handful of small fences and has lovely potential in the Hunter ring. Peach is in your pocket, very willing and an easy keeper. Peach is not mare-ish at all! Peach is a unique color with four white socks and one blue eye lined in color.

Peach is by Shine On Line and out of a Colonels Smoking Gun mare. She is 7 panel negative.

Priced at $18,000

"Tripp" is a 10yr old Arabian gelding, Tripp has been back in refresher training after a year break, due to covid, rider moving, etc. Tripp is 14.3 and ready for his new partner. Tripp is a super sweet guy, he loves kids, and has started jumping and enjoys it. Working on new video to be shared soon. He was shown as a junior horse, winning regional reserve champion and went out on lease for several years. Due to unfortunate Covid circumstance they were unable to show. As a yearling he was shown for approval with the American Warmblood Society and was Supreme, garnering a score higher than his sire and winning Young Horse of the Year with AWS.

This is Gunpowdr and Pb, affectionately known as Sheldon.

Sheldon is an 18 hd, 12 yr old, black Dutch harness gelding.

Sheldon was originally purchased by me from Amish country and was sold to my dear friend Christy. Sadly, Christy lost her battle with cancer recently.

Sheldon and his pasture mate Auggie were sent to us to sell.

Sheldon was a Novice Event horse and spent many years with Christy under the tutelage of Olympic Rider and trainer, Mike Plumb. Sheldon and Christy were a beautiful team and Sheldon took very, very good care of Christy.

When we received Sheldon, he had been off work for over 6 months. We put him back to work, had the chiro out, and had both his stifles and hocks injected. (His first time being injected)

After abt 6 weeks, Sheldon returned to the show ring to win a division of Beginner Novice CT at the CHP out of 12.

The next month, we decided to enter a Beginner Novice horse trials, where again, Sheldon won easily.

At the same time he is making his come back to the Event world, my daughter, Courtney Bauer, has increased his knowledge of dressage by training him to Third level while showing him Second. Both outings at Second one were successful with a score of 68.8 under a L Judge and a 68.1 under an r Judge.

Sheldon's knowledge of shoulder in and haunches in as well as walk canter transitions grow daily. It’s a joy to see him in the 10 m canter circle as he’ stays so well balanced. Very cool for a giant boy who is only back to work less than three months. Sheldon also has a lovely counter canter.

Sheldon is quickly understanding the concept of half pass and has started (just started) exercises for the change.

We are offering Sheldon as a dressage horse as I feel this may be the best fit for him now until he regains his strength behind and over his back. My ongoing discussions with my Chiropractor lends me to believe that it will take a good year to have this big fellow back over his back and strong enough for the demands of Eventing.

Sheldon has also subbed for a lesson horse a time or two on the lounge line for some very small young people. His kind nature is so forgiving.

Sheldon does all the things good show ponies do. He loads, clips, bathes, and loves to hang out at shows with his people.

Included are pics of him over fences, however, I feel strongly a dressage home is best for him.

SOLD!!

Vichyssoise, “Fishy” is a 10 yr old grade pinto gelding. Fishy is a full bodied 16 hands, very full bodied!

Fishy is working well in Dressage and Western Dressage. Formerly, Fishy was a child’s hunter. Unfortunately, Fishy has a celebratory buck and scoot after his fences so we have changed his focus to Dressage. He has been saintly!

Fishy is a lovely mover but also easy to sit. He is versed in leg yield, schooling shoulder in and haunches in and has a right to left change. Left to right is coming. Fishy has been here for 2 weeks and we really enjoy his professionalism and personality. He has even been a very good sport for beginner lessons on the line.

For your consideration. Beautiful 12yr Hanno gelding, 16.2 hands.

Great Expectations, “XP” is a lovely soul who is just now starting his life under saddle consistently. XP came to us after his owner sadly passed away.

Although I’m not completely sure why my friend didn’t pursue him as a primary riding horse, we believe that as she had stomach cancer and he is very lofty in his trot that he may not have been comfortable for her to ride.

XP is well under saddle walk trot canter and has a natural lead change. His gaits are a dressage riders dream! XP is still very green laterally. He can be heavy to the inside and is learning to stand up in his shoulder. He’s coming along nicely for a horse with such incredibly low mileage. XP has given several longe line lessons and loves to engage with people. He is a bit of an old soul and definitely a kick ride (for now) as he’s learning.

XP is talented enough to win at first level now with limited rides.

His willingness to preform changes with no training at all makes him a great 3rd level candidate in 6 months. XP just went to his first open show where he was the hunter division champion and high point of the day!

7 yr old, 16 hand, thoroughbred gelding, Wild Thing, aka Auggie.

Auggie belonged to my friend who passed away recently. Auggie came to us to find his forever home.

Auggie is a young, willing boy with three lovely gaits.

Auggie was not my friend’s primary ride, nor did she have the time or energy to show him. She simply didn’t have the strength to ride two horses and she was actively showing Sheldon (see Sheldon’s ad)

Auggie did however go several times to Christy’s trainer, Mike Plumb, for lessons. Mike was quoted as saying, “Auggie’s a heck of a good jumper”

Here at Rpfsporthorses We have also focused on his flat as he had been out of work for many, many months. We have just started him back over fences and he is a very nice type indeed. With Auggie’s really nice, naturally balanced canter, we feel he could do Hunters, Eventing or straight dressage.

We ride Auggie in small spurs and sometimes carry a dressage whip. Auggie also likes a rubber snaffle. He has been much more of a kick ride than a pull ride.

Auggie needs someone who will take the time to take him places and expose him to things like horse shows! He just doesn’t have much off the farm experience.

Auggie has a funny, busy personality on the ground and really engages with people well.

Beautiful, colorful, and personable! Jackson had it all! Jackson is a 10 yr old Arab/saddlebred cross but is built more like a stock horse cross. He is 15.1 and a half but takes up plenty of leg. (My daughter in the pics is 5’8.) Jackson has the most charming personality and is completely engaged in his person. Jackson has 3 OUTSTANDING gaits! His trot is easily sittable, and his canter is the best and most comfortable on the farm. Jackson has movement to shine in the dressage ring, not only in the Sport horse classes but also in the Open dressage. Jackson has schooled over fences and thoroughly enjoys it! Although he hasn’t done a lot of jumping, he pats the ground in front and has beautiful, tight form in the air.

This IS your SportHorse Nationals Dream partner!

Jackson is located in Raeford, NC. 2 miles from the Carolina Horse Park.
